George Franklin (Buddy) Dyer Jr., 69, of Moneta, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 after a brief illness. Buddy was retired from the Roanoke City Police Department and the Bedford Regional Jail. Surviving are his wife, Faith Dyer; stepdaughter, Laurel Gordon; stepgrandchildren, Brianna Gordon and Brian Gordon; and his sister, Ruth Ann Jablow.

A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with the Rev
